Explora is a second home for your child to learn both core academics and other subjects hands on in community with other children.

Academics

Students will bring their parent chosen curriculum to complete during the academic block. This may be workbooks or any curriculum that aligns with your family’s values and student learning goals.

Experiential Learning

This is the time when what they’ve been seeing in their workbooks comes to life. One day students may be budgeting for a project, another day building a motor with MEL Science kits, or stepping into another world through reading.  This time invites students to think critically, create freely, and connect with one another.

Meet Mrs. Bello

A.A. Psychology | B.S. Education | Minor in Cognitive Science

Masters of Education from UCSD

I have experience in teaching in a wide variety of settings.  designing curricula, and leading summer camps.  We reflected on prior lessons and created captivating lessons tailored to our dynamic student population.

I have worked with students of diverse backgrounds in elementary, middle, and high school levels. I have experience with enrichment programs, bilingual programs, and remote learning. I have led STEM clubs, art classes, dance classes, service learning programs, summer games, and many traditional school lessons.

I pride myself on making learning engaging and personalized.

We are familiar with Mrs. Mirelle's work, as she was the teacher of our two daughters, aged 11 and 8, whom she accompanied and supported in various learning processes. Both enjoyed her classes very much, where they participated in a variety of dynamic activities.

Mirelle is the reason my daughter became a top student in her class. She loved going to her house afterschool throughout kindergarten. Couldn’t have done it without her.

I want to sincerely thank Mrs.B for being such a positive and loving influence in my son’s first year of
school. As a parent, it’s a blessing to know your child is in a classroom where they feel safe, supported, and
encouraged every single day. We’ll always carry the impact you’ve made with us!!

Excellent person, very kind,
very trustworthy, very respectful. My daughter was very happy with her; she was very attentive and helped her a lot with her classes.
